There are also a few areas of more noticeable case wear such deeper scratches/slight dent to the case at 12 o’clock and and minor dings to the bezel at 6 o’clock. There is a bit of smoothing/denting to the top right lug. |

Scarce Girard Perregaux ‘Vintage 1960’ Automatic Chronograph Mens Wristwatch in 18K Solid Rose Gold Case. The reference is 2598 and for this particular model very few were made in 18K Gold. The serial number for this particular specimen is just in double digits. The design of the watch is based on Girard-Perregaux’s famous chronograph models in the 1960s with luminous markers and hands and black glossy dial. The semi-square and semi-cushion shape of the case are particular to this model. Interestingly the Girard-Perregaux Vintage 1960 Chronograph also comes with a sub-dial at 9 o’clock that records 24hour time which is essentially a night/day indicator. This is also a masterfully-crafted watch with a very heavy solid rose gold case (117g total weight with strap and buckle).
