REMARKS: Marvelous top quality Elgin 14K Multi-color Solid Gold 8 Size Hunter Case Pocket Watch with Rare High Relief Framed Buck/Elk Figure.  Amongst American Multi-color Gold Pocket Watches, when the case embellishment is raised extra high above of the case cover or in ‘High Relief’ style, the quality of the artistic work and construction becomes superior and extra fine.  This Elgin Pocket Watch’s case also carries another high quality feature in the rose gold framing in the form of tree trunks for both front and back covers.  The case is extra fancy in its entirety with triangular formed edges on the case body and fully adorned with geometric patterns.  Since the case body is angularly raised together with the sides of the front and back covers they form 3 sharp edges when the user grasp the watch from the side.  Total weight of the watch attests to the top quality of this watch as well at a super hefty 79 grams.  Inside the watch an Elgin grade 65 movement serves as the timekeeper made in 1884.

CONDITION REPORT: Condition-wise the watch runs sluggishly and sets but we cannot guarantee timekeeping accuracy or longevity as we don’t know its service history.  Antique pocket watches like this specimen will likely need full service to run normally, it is the sole decision and responsibility of end-user to service or not.  We will not accept return based on claim of functional issues.  Cosmetically it is in stunningly great shape with its extra fancy case in wonderful condition with no dings or dents.  The front framed section has been personalized.  The enamel dial is in good condition with a few hidden hairlines near the seconds sub-dial which are very hard to see.  The gilted movement has some tarnish and discoloration.  Diameter is 44mm, total weight 79 grams.
