Rare and exquisite Vacheron Constantin ‘222’ Model 60001  Ladies Quartz Wristwatch in 18K Solid Gold Bracelet.  Vacheron Constantin is well-known throughout the world as one of the pillar brand of fine Swiss watchmaking.  It is also the oldest continuously operating watch brands in the world.  As a top-tier ultra-luxury watch brand, all of the products made by Vacheron Constantin are greatly refined and highly priced.  The Vacheron & Constantin 222 models were debuted in 1977 as the brand’s foray into the world of sportswatches following the trend-setters in AP’s Royal Oak and Patek Philippe’s Nautilus.  All three iconic models had integrated bracelets and robust construction unlike many of the woven/mesh bracelets and thin-profile cases of the 1960-1970s.  While the AP Royal Oak and Patek Philippe Nautilus eventually elevated in sales and became iconic models in the late 1980s, V&C 222 was often forgotten during that time.  Eventually with the collectability of rare high-end vintage watches at an all-time high, V&C 222 is now one of the most desirable vintage sportswatch model.  Its H-shaped links along with hexagonal inner links is one of the most distinctive watch bracelets around and it served as the direct predecessor of the highly popular Overseas models.  This particular ladies V&C 222 has all of the same characteristics as the mens models with very robust construction that can be felt by the weight of the entire watch at whopping 90 grams total for a 24mm diameter watch.
