Extravagant 16 Size Elgin Tri-Color Solid Gold Hunting Case Pocket Watch with the full figure of a Buck or Elk Bull on the on the caseback. The entire case is superbly made with fancy engravings all over plus floral and leaf appliques throughout. Even the dial is super fancy with gold hand painting and having pink color in the middle. Overall the watch is simply a gem and would be welcomed in any watch collection. American Tri-color solid gold pocket watches were some of the most ornate and beautifully made pieces of horological art the world has ever seen. Unfortunately many were damaged or worn down throughout the years that specimen such as this Elgin is getting much rarer in great condition. The movement inside the watch is a 7 jewels Elgin grade 290 which is quite generic but still serving this watch for over 110 years.
