REMARKS: Museum Quality Antique Pocket Watch which might be the only specimen of its kind to be offered for sale.  Here we have a 1900’s Ulysse Nardin Top Quality Minute Repeater Chronograph w/30min Register Pocket Watch that is absolutely massive at 60mm with 18K Solid Gold Hunter Case.  It is even accompanied by its original Box & Paper from 120+ years ago!  The top quality ultra-complicated minute repeater chronograph mechanism, the incredible massive size at 60mm, the minty unaltered condition, and the completeness of its original full set box and paper all are representative to its status as a crème-de-la-crème piece of antique horology.  Needless to say an antique pocket watch as rare and prestigious as this is usually only seen in museums and it will certainly fit well in a top private collection as well.  First of all the ‘Certificat D’Origine’ paperwork shows this Ulysse Nardin Watch to be a Minute Repeater Chronograph and a Chronometer of ‘Qualite Premiere’ or Top Quality.  The complicated movement completely aligns with this paperwork description, it has a nickle finished Minute Repeater Chronograph Movement fully jeweled (minimally 33 Jewels) including both jewels to hammers and entirely jeweled escapement.  It also has wolf teeth winding wheels (quite rare in Ulysse Nardin pocket watches) and finely chamfered finished levers and bridges.  Additionally it has a 30min Chronograph Register at 12 o’clock which is nearly always a feature for the highest grade chronograph.  Its superb quality shows up throughout every facet of the watch including the gorgeous 18K solid gold hunter case which is massive at 60mm and the total weight is 172.9g.  In our many years of handling and trading pocket watch we have seldomly come across a pocket watch as massive as this Ulysse Nardin.

CONDITION REPORT: Condition-wise this pocket watch even at 120+ years old it runs, sets, chronograph functions work and minute repeater chimes loud and clear.  The Minute Repeater tone is very pleasing and resonant as it has its original gongs and hammers in great working condition.  However, due to the age and fragile nature of this historical timepiece we will not provide warranty of any kind.  We certainly do not guarantee timekeeping accuracy or longevity.  120+ year old parts can simply malfunction at any time and should be treated with the utmost respect and care when handling the watch.  With that said the watch should operate normally as long as it is used with care and caution.  Cosmetically this pocket watch is in absolutely amazing shape considering its age and fragile nature.  The enamel dial has no hairline crack or chip, all of the hands are original to the watch.  The 18K solid gold case is barely used with all of the engine-turned engraving and adornment all sharp.  There is only some very slight dings towards the bottom hinge of the case which are barely noticeable.  Even the movement is in super clean shape.  The original large leatherette and fabric lined box has a bit of loose threads on the inner top and the outside has a slight bit of leather flaking on one corner.  Overall this antique pocket watch is one of the best specimen we’ve ever come across.  Diameter is 60mm, total weight 172.9g.
