REMARKS: Marvelous antique Waltham Appleton Tracy & Co Model 1892 17 jewels Hunter Case Pocket Watch made in 14K Muti-Color Solid Gold.  Based on archives the watch was made back in 1902.  The case is Extremely Fancy with 4 different gold tones, scalloped case edge, fully engraved and a very heavy one at 153.2g.  There is even a diamond in the middle of the star on the caseback amongst many layers of decoration including the polka dots of 3 different colors.  Inside the watch it houses Waltham Model 1892 Appleton Tracy & Co 17j Movement with lever set.  Model 1892 is arguably one of the best 18 size movements ever made by Waltham in terms of timing accuracy, robustness and high grade features such as solid gold jewel settings and balance jewels.

CONDITION REPORT: Condition-wise the watch is running well but we’ve not tested it extensively and we do not know its service history so we cannot guarantee timekeeping accuracy or longevity.  We strongly recommend to have antique pocket watches fully serviced before putting it to regular use and this will help extend the life of the timepiece as well.  The decision and responsibility to service the watch is made solely by the end-user.  Cosmetically the double sunk dial has many hairline cracks at 3 and 11 o’clock hour marks as well as a big chip on the outer periphery of 57min position.  The 14K Solid Multi-Color Gold Case is in wonderful shape with no observable dings or dents.  Multi-color details on the case are still quite sharp so is the scallope edging of the case.  The movement has some occasional spots of oxidation and it’s in generally good shape.  Diameter is 54.5mm, total weight is 153.2 grams.
