REMARKS: Scarce Hamilton 922MP ‘Masterpiece’ 18K Solid White Gold Open Face Pocket Watch with Original Box.  The Hamilton 922MP ‘Masterpiece’ as the engraved name implies was the highest grade and most expensive pocket watch by Hamilton Watch Co in the 1920-30s.  It holds a special place amongst American pocket watch collectors and lovers for its scarcity and luxury.  Most were sold cased in 18K white gold and the Hamilton 922MP Masterpiece movement is definitely one of the top calibers of all time made by the American Watchmaking Industry.  The 922MP Masterpiece movement has 23 jewels, full solid gold train, motor barrel, 12 concentric stripes of decoration, and white gold plated movement surface.  Even the dial was made from sterling silver, it’s true to the namesake ‘Masterpiece’  This particular Hamilton 922MP Masterpiece example has specially ordered case with solid bow and no pendant which is much rarer than the standard version.  Diameter is 45.5mm, total weight 67.7g.
