| CONDITION: | Runs, Winds, Sets, Not Serviced. Cosmetically the enamel dial has a small chip to the outer rim at the 21 min position. Tip of the blue steel minute hand has a slight bit of rust as well. There is no brassing wear through on the gold filled case and there are some scratches. Glass crystal is also in good shape. The blue cardboard box has the original sticker on top with the matching serial number for movement in good condition. |

REMARKS: Waltham Vanguard Model 1908 23 Jewels Railroad Grade Pocket Watch with Original Box (matching serial number). This Waltham Vanguard 1908 is a 16 size watch with Railroad Watch style gold-filled case and it comes with Enamel/Porcelain dial with the text ‘Waltham Vanguard 23 Jewels’. Based on the movement serial number this watch was produced in 1943 and at the time was considered one of the top grade product from Waltham having 23 jewels.
CONDITION REPORT: Condition-wise the watch winds and runs well but we cannot guarantee any functional or mechanical elements as this is a vintage timepiece over 70 years in age. We do not guarantee timekeeping accuracy or longevity for this watch. It has not been serviced and we recommend for any and all antique pocket watches to undergo service by a trusted watchmaker to extend its usage life.
