| CONDITION: | Runs, Winds, Sets, Not Serviced. Cosmetically the melamine dial has some wear and discoloration towards the outer periphery but overall it is in great condition. The gold filled case has no wear through and there is a tiny shallow ding the in caseback which does not affect its overall appearance. Glass crystal has a lot of scratches which makes the appearance of dial less clear. It can be replaced upon request. |

REMARKS: BALL Watch Co Hamilton 999B 21 Jewels Railroad Grade Pocket Watch with BALL Official Standard signed case and dial. Webb C. Ball was considered the founder of American Railroad timing standard and the BALL Watch Co is his brand of watches. In this particular watch BALL Watch Co ordered movements from Hamilton Watch Co to be put in BALL watches with a different engraving than the standard Hamilton movement. The result is this 999B with 21 Jewels and 6 Adjustements finished with fine radiating circles of damascening. The gold filled railroad style case was made by Keystone Watch Case Co in 10K GF with stirrup on top of the bow. To be a railroad grade pocket watch it has to be equipped with lever to set the time.
CONDITION REPORT: Condition-wise the watch winds and runs but we cannot guarantee any functional or mechanical elements as this is a vintage timepiece over 70 years in age. We do not guarantee timekeeping accuracy or longevity for this watch. It has not been serviced and we recommend for any and all antique pocket watches to undergo service by a trusted watchmaker to extend its usage life.
