| CONDITION: | Runs, Winds, Sets, Not Serviced. Cosmetically the double sunk enamel Montgomery dial is in mint shape with no observable chip or hairline. The gold-filled case has some light brassing only at the very edge of the coin edge or rims of the bezel and caseback. Bow has more brassing wear-through and the crystal has two scratches at around 6 o’clock. There is loss of details for the engraving on the caseback. The movement is in terrific shape with barely any rust. |

REMARKS: Top quality Hamilton 946 with Double Sunk Montgomery Dial for sale. The Hamilton 946 was one of the most beautifully decorated movement ever made in the world. Hamilton 946 was the highest grade railroad standard pocket watch offered by this famous and respected brand. This watch movement boasts 23 jewels of the finest quality, all gold jewel settings, full gold train, counterpoised lever fork, Breguet hairspring, and everything that makes a mechanical watch high quality. The decoration on the movement is simply drop-dead gorgeous. This Hamilton 946 was made in 1908.
CONDITION REPORT: Condition-wise the watch winds and runs well but we have not timed or had it serviced so we don’t offer any guarantee on timekeeping. Most likely it will require full service if the owner wants to use it frequently. Cosmetically the double sunk enamel Montgomery dial is in mint shape with no observable chip or hairline. The gold-filled case has some light brassing only at the very edge of the coin edge or rims of the bezel and caseback.
