REMARKS: Super-rare and wonderfully high grade Bulova Phantom 18K Solid White Gold UltraThin Pocket Watch.  The Bulova Phantom is a true collector’s pocket watch, with very few made (possibly only less than 1,000pcs ever made) and the quality is of the highest order amongst Antique Swiss UltraThin Pocket Watch.  It has been suggested by many sources that the movement was either designed or made entirely by Audemars Piguet for Bulova in the 1920-30s.  This ‘Phantom’ was probably the best mechanical watch movement Bulova has ever marketed, and they were all cased in 18K Solid Gold or Platinum cases.  This specimen has a beautifully made and 100% original Bulova Case with engravings decorating the entire bezel and edge of caseback.

CONDITION REPORT: Condition-wise the watch winds and runs well but we cannot make any guarantee on its function as it is an antique timepiece and we have not had it serviced.  Any maintenance or upkeeping is the sole responsibility of the end user.  Cosmetically the silver dial has been washed out so that the original Bulova brand text and nearly all of the sub-second chapter has been erased.  This doesn’t take away from the elegance of the dial as all of the Roman Numeral hour markers are applied from solid gold.  Both blue steel hands are original to the watch as well.  The 18K white gold case is in excellent condition with no dings or dents.  Overall it’s a rarely seen high grade antique pocket watch which was a time capsule of the 1920s.  Diameter is 43.5mm, total weight 45.8g.
