REMARKS: Rare and special Corum 18K Solid Gold Pocket Watch made with exotic TV-Cushion Shape. It is quite the treasure having its original Ostrich Leather Pouch (signed CORUM with key logos) as well which is a perfect match in shape to this pocket watch. Inside the caseback the reference is 8137 and the movement is a 21 jewels Corum hand-winding movement made for wristwatches. We estimate this pocket watch was made in the 1970s. Not only is the TV-Cushion shape quite exotic, the gold dial has a Florentine finish. It comes in ultra-thin profile where the top of bezel to caseback only measures approximately 4mm thick (not including crystal).
CONDITION REPORT: Condition-wise the watch winds and runs well but we cannot make any guarantee on function for a vintage timepiece as we have not had it serviced. It looks like a strong runner so it needs nothing more than regular service to get it running superbly. Cosmetically the watch is in excellent shape for its age with no personalized engravings. The dial is also in excellent shape with nearly no blemish except for slight scuffing on the outer edges. Ostrich leather pouch is in great shape as well. Dimension is 40x40mm, total weight 42.4g.
