REMARKS: 1920s Agassiz Watch Co. Platinum Pocket Watch with Enamel Adornment. Agassiz Watch Co. was one of the highest-grade Swiss makers of watches in the 1880s-1930s. Â It is very scarce to find Agassiz Pocket Watches case in platinum and even rarer with Enamel Adornment. This watch was probably made to order for special clientele in France having French Hallmark for the Enameled Platinum Case. Inside the watch an always high-grade movement is used as timekeeper with standard 21 jewels and a very high 8 adjustments. This shows the pocket watch inside and out was made with great thought and care to every detail.
CONDITION REPORT: Condition-wise the watch is in good operational order where the winding and running well. We do not make guarantee on timekeeping accuracy or operation. It was serviced about 3 years ago and have not been used since.  However, since this is an antique watch there will be no warranty and it’s under the sole discretion of the end-user in regards to service or maintenance. For any antique watch movement we always recommend for the owner to conduct full service with qualified watchmaker to ensure longevity of the mechanism. Cosmetically the watch is in very good shape throughout with no loss to the enamel and no dings or dents to the case. The dial does have a bit of slight discoloration on the edge areas which are quite slight and do not distract at all. Overall it’s just a wonderful Art Deco specimen and a true heirloom and collectors pocket watch. Diameter is 44mm, total weight 60.8g.
