REMARKS: Wonderful antique Ulysse Nardin 18K Gold Hunting Case Oversized 55mm Pocket Watch from circa 1905. This is a rarely seen model for Ulysse Nardin most likely sold to South American market which favored oversized pocket watches. Also catering to South American preference, the watch comes with highly decorative engine-turned case and the the medals won by Ulysse Nardin in chronometer contests in the late 19th century. It is a very stylistic pocket watch rarely seen on the market, especially in this type of fine condition.
CONDITION REPORT: Condition-wise the watch runs and sets normally, but we cannot guarantee any functional or mechanical elements as this is an antique timepiece over 100 years in age. We recommend for any and all antique pocket watches to undergo service by a trusted watchmaker to extend its usage life. The movement starts running after a few winds of the crown. Cosmetically the watch is in very good shape with nearly all of the engine-turning guilloche still intact and quite sharp. There is no significant dings or dents. The bow is a gold-filled replacement that has wear-through already. This can easily be replaced. The movement is also clean cosmetically. Diameter is 55mm, total weight is 110.1g.
