REMARKS: An excellent antique A. Lange & Söhne Hunter Case 14K Solid Pink Gold Pocket Watch with DUF Grade Movement. This particular specimen was made with German Glashütte style with 3/4 plate design, German lever escapement, and very fine script engravings throughout. Even the hands are done in German style filigree in pink gold, as well as the dial with Saxony writing style. The DUF grade is one of average quality made by Lange & Söhne and it really shows off the nature of high grade watches that the brand made. Even the DUF grade is done with excellence that shows throughout Lange & Söhne’s entire line of products. It is really nice that the 14K solid pink gold case is also German made and all original to the rest of the watch.
CONDITION REPORT: Condition-wise the watch runs and sets normally, but we cannot guarantee any functional or mechanical elements as this is an antique timepiece over 100 years in age. We recommend for any and all antique pocket watches to undergo service by a trusted watchmaker to extend its usage life. Cosmetically the dial is in mint condition with no crack or chip. The hunter case has some very mild unevenness only seen under certain light angles. Overall a very clean and beautiful watch. Diameter is 52mm.
