REMARKS: Fantastic and scarce Chronoswiss 18K Solid Yellow Gold ‘Chronograph Rattrapante’ Split Seconds Chronograph Mens Wristwatch. Model reference is CH7321 and the diameter without crown is 38mm. Chronoswiss Chronograph Rattrapante was one of the flagship models for this highly respected Swiss watchmaker in the earlier part of 1990s as only a few of the most technically capable Swiss brands were able to put a split seconds function into a chronograph wristwatch. Together with Chronoswiss founder Gerd Lang’s reputation as a true master of horology, this split seconds chronograph as well as the brand’s renowned regulator modesl places Chronoswiss in an elite class of watchmakers ever since the late 1980s. Following Mr. Lang’s concept of exclusivity as well as producing the finest watches of the world, very few of this high grade Chronoswiss Chronograph Rattrapante was produced and today it has really become a true collector’s fine watch. Design-wise Chronoswiss has always been one of the most classically aligned under Mr. Lang’s concept of the perfect classic watch. In this particular watch, the coin-edged bezel and caseback, onion shaped crown, and a dial that harkons back to the days of pocket watches makes this watch simply timeless. True to Chronoswiss styling the minute and hour hands have been placed inside the 3 o’clock sub-dial with large central chronograph hands placed in the middle. Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) $13,900 (in 1999)
CONDITION REPORT: Condition-wise the watch runs well and keeps excellent time. All of the rattrapante split seconds chronograph functions work perfectly. We have not had it serviced so we don’t offer any guarantee regarding functions. Ultimately the decision to service the watch is the sole responsibility of the end user. Cosmetically the watch is in excellent condition with only occasional faint surface scratches on the case and buckle. The sapphire crystal is scratch-free and the case has not been polished. It is very obvious that the previous ownership has taken great care of this timepiece to keep it in such great shape after about 20 years since it was made. Even the original Chronoswiss black alligator strap is still in good condition ready to be worn. Buckle is deployant stamped with 18K solid gold mark. No box or paperwork, guaranteed 100% authentic. Diameter is 38mm.
