REMARKS: MODERN MODEL 36mm Corum ‘Gold Coin Automatic Watch’ with a $20 Dollars Gold Coin as dial and caseback.  Model Reference is C293/00831.  This watch carries a very high manufacturer suggested retail price (MSRP) $25,400.  The 22K coin used is an American Eagle/Lady Liberty from 1877.  The modern model of the Corum $20 Twenty Dollars Gold Coin Watch differs from the vintage one in several aspects: first and foremost it comes with a modern automatic movement and case design where the diameter is larger at 36mm and also thicker and more robust.  It also comes with a sapphire crystal instead of the vintage mineral crystal and finally it has a diamond-set crown instead of the older style sapphire-set crown.  Corum Gold Coin Watches are legends in the Swiss Watch Industry and although other brands also made coin watches, Corum was by far the most successful and produced the most designs.  Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) $25,400.
