Truly rare and collectible from one of the Masters of modern horology Mr. Svend Andersen’s atelier.  Svend Andersen was the founder of AHCI (Académie Horlogère des Créateurs Indépendants), the first modern watchmakers’ organization composed of purely workshop style independent master watchmakers/clockmakers.  Members of AHCI have come to be some of the celebrated figures of independent watchmaking throughout the world such as F.P. Journe, Vincent Calabrese, Philippe Dufour, and of course Svend Andersen.  This watch from Svend Andersen’s workshop was one of his most celebrated model in the ‘Communication World Time’ automatic wristwatch starting from the early 1990s.  It was one of the first watches in the modern era to feature world time display with 31 cities and night/day 24hr indicator.  What’s great about this particular specimen is that it comes with full set box/paper including certificate signed by Svend Andersen himself.  All products from AHCI members’ workshops are very collectible and this watch is no exception.
