REMARKS: Awesome IWC Pilot’s Watch Double Chronograph Split Seconds Automatic Top Gun Edition in robust 46mm Ceramic Case (Titanium Caseback and Buckle). Model reference is IW379901. Rattrapante or Split Seconds Chronograph Mechanism has long been considered the top display of chronograph mastery and this particular IWC Top Gun ‘Double Chronograph’ pairs split seconds chronograph with day-date functions. The Top Gun Emblem shows this wonderful collaboration between IWC and US Navy Fighter Weapons School to create a line of highly functional and technically perfect timepieces meant for the rigors of fighter jet pilots. IWC Top Gun Watches are all fitted with ceramic cases paired with Titanium components to make them more robust and scratch resistant. Besides being a technical marvel the design is superbly functional and coherent with fighter jet instrument displays with white texts and markers on top of matte black background. Inside the watch an IWC calibre 79230 serves as the workhorse with 29 jewels. Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) is $11,900.
CONDITION REPORT: Condition-wise the watch is running flawlessly with all of the functions working well including the double chronograph (rattrapante/split-seconds) and all of the day-date calendar functions. The watch has not been serviced by us and we do not offer timekeeping or any functional guarantee. Ultimately the decision to service the watch is the sole responsibility of the end user. Cosmetically it is in very good shape with surface scratches to the ceramic case and bezel in the form of lines of discoloration from the black ceramic surface finish being scratched at the 2, 4, 6 o’clock positions of the bezel. The inner titanium bezel ring also has a bit of tiny nicks only observable under magnification. The anti-reflective coating of the sapphire crystal has some scratches to the surface coating (not to the based crystal itself). Caseback has some marks of opening to the screwback holes and tiny surface scratches. The IWC rubber strap currently fitted on the watch is in great shape pre-owned with lots of service life ahead. Overall it is a pre-owned watch in great shape ready for its next owner. Comes with IWC Box (vinyl peeling), no paperwork, guaranteed 100% authentic. Diameter is 46mm.
