We are presenting a timepiece from one of the most desirable independent watchmaking brands in Gerald Charles of Switzerland.  This current model for sale is the Limited Edition Gerald Charles Maestro GC Sport Grass Court with Green Dial and Strap in Titanium Ref. GC2.0-TX-TN-02.  Dimension is 39mm (width) x 41.7mm (length).  Gerald Charles is the final project in Mr. Gerald Charles Genta’s legendary career as a watch designer with models that defined the sports watch market today such as Patek Philippe’s Nautilus, Audemars Piguet’s Royal Oak, and Bulgari’s Octo were all designed by Mr. Gerald Genta.  In year 2000 after Mr. Genta had already sold the trademark to his name ‘Gerald Genta’ to Bulgari, he decided to endeavor on another branding project using his first and middle name and thus created Gerald Charles.  He remained as the design director until his passing in 2011, creating the current flagship design in the Maestro line of watches for Gerald Charles.  Maestro design is unique in the watch industry with its blend of octagonal and square shapes plus being rounded on the bottom.  Mr. Genta was inspired by Roman Baroque architecture in creating this case and this particular Maestro GC Sport is also unique in its dial and movement.  In 2022 Gerald Charles created this Limited Edition of 200pcs Maestro GC Sport Model with Graduated Green Textured Dial symbolizing grass tennis courts or known as ‘Wimbledon’ model.  Adhering to the tennis theme, it comes with crown at 9 o’clock to allow for comfortable tennis swings on the left wrist without being bothered by the crown.  The case in grade 5 Titanium makes it extra light at 59.5 grams.  Even the movement was geared towards the abrupt shocks of tennis, the in-house calibre GCA 3002 has been specially designed and tested for extra shock resistance and it is one of the only wristwatches capable of being worn during competitive tennis match without worry of damage.  Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) $17,300.
