GRUEN 14K Mens Vintage Curvex Cal.370 Model 760 Exaggerated Lugs Hand-Wind Yellow Gold

REMARKS: Rare and awesome find in this Gruen 14K Solid Gold Mens Curvex Watch that has one of the fanciest lugs amongst all of the Gruen Curvex Watches with Original Black Pebbled Dial.  Inside the watch caseback it is marked with numbers 370 and 760, for which it uses a Gruen Curvex Cal.370 and it is model 760.  The case and lugs really stand out having the quintessential Art Deco look of geometric lines with very fancy bat-wing like lugs that swoops into the middle of the case and ends in round horn-like ornamentation.  Since it’s a Gruen Curvex the entire case is curved with tapered bezel.  The black original dial is highly stylistic too with a pebbled texture and gold-tone applied markers and golden texts.  Even the acrylic/plastic crystal matches this stylization with angular and bent segments.  Overall it is just a time capsule of the 1930s to show an era of extravagance in design.

CONDITION REPORT: Condition-wise the watch wind and runs but has not been serviced so we cannot guarantee timekeeping accuracy.  We also do not guarantee any functional elements of this watch and will leave the decision for maintenance or service to the end user.  IT IS A VINTAGE WATCH AND NOT WATER-RESISTANT.  Cosmetically the watch is in great shape with all original dial, case, movement, crystal and crown.  The 100% original dial is in great shape with nearly no blemish throughout.  The original acrylic/plastic crystal appears to have splitting/cracks down the sides which is quite normal for a watch of this age.  The caseback has some minor ripples or unevenness.  Black Genuine Lizard Leather Watch strap is not Gruen (aftermarket).  Overall the watch is in great condition for its age.  No box or paperwork, guaranteed 100% authentic (strap is not Gruen).  Dimensions are 25mm (width at the widest part of lugs) x 39mm (length lug to lug).  It is has a hallmarked solid 14K gold case.
