Spectacular Zenith Platinum 950 Grande Chronomaster Open Retrograde XXT Mens Wristwatch.  This was one of the most expensive and rarest models that Zenith offered for sale in 2005, only 50pcs were ever made worldwide.  Wow this watch is super heavy, total weight on the scale with the strap attached is 222 grams!  It is part of the highly popular Zenith Chronomaster Open Chronograph line where the entire balance and escapement is visible from a cut-out on the dial and sapphire crystal back.  Yet this watch is more complicated as it has retrograde date in addition to power reserve indicator and chronograph functions.  Massive at 45mm, this Platinum 950 Grande Chronomaster Open Retrograde XXT has the complete reference number of 40.1260.4023/01.c505 and the original manufacturer suggested retail price was a whopping $50,500 USD.  From a luxury standpoint this watch is top notch yet it is so understated, the ultra-heavy platinum case gives the owner the ultimate feel of opulence.  Zenith spared no expense manufacturing this watch, every detail was carefully planned and executed and obviously the maximum amount of platinum and gold were used to achieve this masculine behemoth of a wristwatch.  Inside the watch Zenith truly shines as well due to its know-how of being a true manufacturer that didn’t just burst onto the scene recently but the brand has been making in-house movements for more than 150 years.  The in-house caliber 4023 is as precision, elegant and reliable as they come where it also features a full 22K white gold rotor.
