Great Zenith Grande Chronomaster Open El Primero XXT Mens Wristwatch for sale. Model reference is 03.1260.4021. In the mid 2000’s Zenith debuted the Grande Chronomaster Open line of watches with exposed escapement through the dial and placed their wonderful hi-beat El Primero movements inside. Being a Chronograph watch, it also comes with the power reserve indicator which really showed Zenith’s prowess in designing and executing mechanical movements. Catering to a large watch trend, this Zenith Grande Chronomaster Open El Primero is a ‘XXT’ size at 45mm with a very solid and robust bracelet. Zenith as a true watchmaking brand is most famously known for their Hi-Frequency El Primero Chronograph Movement Caliber 400 which was used in the Rolex Daytona until year 2000. Many other watchmaking brands also used this movement always in their best and highest priced watches since 1969 and it is considered one of the best automatic chronograph movements of all time. The currently Zenith is owned by LVMH and they’ve developed the Caliber 400 further to carry other complications such as in this Chronomaster Open it adds on the power reserve in the Caliber 4021. Zenith no longer provide their wondeful in-house movements to other brands, making it only available in their own watches and thus very exclusive. Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) is $9,450.
