1920-1930s Gruen Watch Co. 14K Solid Gold Pentagon Ultra VeriThin ‘UV’ model Pocket Watch for sale. This is a really great set with original blue bakelite box with great Gruen trademark and in excellent condition. This particular Gruen Ultra VeriThin Pentagon comes in great Pentagon crystal, dial, bow, and subseconds chapter. The Gruen Ultra VeriThin model was made in the late 1920s to replace the larger 12 size VeriThin models so that Gruen pocket watches could be made thinner and smaller to fit the trend of ever more refined dress pocket watches in that era. Thus this watch is very thin in profile, light, and extremely elegant and geometric in styling. The Pentagon Watch is truly a Gruen Watch Co symbol and this is a great example.
