The bow also has some brassing at the corners. The double sunk enamel dial has faint hairlines at 4 and 9 o’clock positions with slight chipping on the outer edge. |

Illinois Watch Co. 16-Size Bunn Special 60hrs 23j Grade 163 Model 14 Railroad Pocket Watch with Open Face Gold Filled Case. The Illinois Watch Co. Grade 163 Bunn Special 60hrs Pocket Watch has long been considered to be one of the best American Railroad Pocket Watch Models of all time. It was certainly one of the best Pocket Watch movements ever made with refined and high-grade design and very fancy engine-turned damascening throughout. The Illinois Bunn Special Railroad grade movements were renowned for their precision as well as the long power reserve at 60 hours which was certainly an advantageous feature against competitors. It has many top grade features such as Motor Barrel, Fully Jeweled at 23j, and Solid Gold Wheel Train and Jewel Settings. This particular example also comes in a Gold Filled Railroad Case signed with ‘Bunn Special Model’ inside. The Double-Sunk Enamel Dial is Marked ‘Illinois 23J Bunn Special 60 Hour 6 Positions’.
