REMARKS: Ultra-rare D. Delachaux Dual Time Pocket Watch Movement with Double Barrel and Quarter ¼ Seconds Jump. It also has an impressive large center sweep seconds hand. D. Delachaux from Locle Switzerland was the known maker to have patented designs on lever escapement from 1815-1865. This particular lever escapement was made in perpedicular angle with specialized lever fork compensation and pointed tooth escape wheel. From the style of the movement it looks to have been made in the 1840-1860s. The rarity of works from this maker and the combination of interesting features makes this movement a highly collectible piece of horology.
CONDITION REPORT: Condition-wise the movement winds and runs with both barrels still able to store power and both the large center seconds hand and small ¼ quarter seconds hand both working well. We do not guarantee or have any warranty for movements used for parts. Cosmetically the enamel dial has a large damaged section at the 3 o’clock position where part of the outer minute track and the right dial has losses and cracking damage. The movement being this old is still in good cosmetic shape but it has some surface tarnish. Diameter is 46.5mm
