REMARKS: Limited Edition Baume Mercier 44mm Capeland Shelby Cobra 1963 Competition Automatic Chronograph with Full Set Box and Paper.  Model reference is MOA10281 and Case Reference is 65797, THIS IS THE SCARCE COMPETITION MODEL WITH ADLC Coating.  In the modern watchscape for Baume Mercier this Capeland Shelby Cobra 1963 Limited Edition Automatic Chronograph is one of the most desirable and collectible.  Done in collaboration with Carroll Shelby Inc., this watch commemorates the CSX2128 Sebring Roadster Cobra, which had number 15 at the 1963 12 Hours race of Sebring.  The watch is a design marvel with alternating black base, silver and yellow accents.  Being a racing-inspired sportswatch it comes with Tachymeter scale printed in yellow on the outer rim of the dial and a full chronograph display at 3, 6, 9 o’clock.  The obvious signature design is the cobra logo on the tail of the center chronograph hand.  On the exhibition back there is the number 15 right in the center as well as the wording ‘One out of 1963’.  Inside the watch a Valjoux 7753 automatic chronograph movement serves as the workhorse timekeeper.  Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) $5,100.

CONDITION REPORT: Condition-wise the watch runs well and keeps excellent time along with the chronograph and date functions all working flawlessly.  We have not had this watch serviced thus we do not provide operation warranty/guarantee on it.  Ultimately the decision to service the watch is the sole responsibility of the end user.  Cosmetically the watch is in very good condition with only slight evidence of surface wear such as minor scratches to the bezel and case.  There is a scratch on the bezel between 12-1 o’clock position and a few very slight scratches to the ADLC coated case.  These defects are quite minor and overall the watch is quite nice.  The rubber strap (an extra leather strap is also included) will wear up to 8.5” inches in length.  It comes with FULL SET Box and Paper including Limited Edition specific Baume Mercier Boxes, Capeland Shelby Cobra Booklet, Instruction Manual with International Warranty Card (undated), and Extra Leather Strap (Unworn).  Diameter is 44mm.
