REMARKS: Ultra-luxury and exclusively designed Breguet Ladies 18K Rose Gold Wristwatch in this Reine de Naples Oversized Ref. 8968BR/11/986/0D00.  Historically the Queen of Naples Caroline Murat, who was Napolean Bonaparte’s sister ordered an oblong/oval watch for wear on wrist from the house of Breguet in year 1811.  This custom timepiece was deemed the world’s first wristwatch, it only survives as records on Breguet’s company archive and after the last entry of service in 1855 it was never seen again.  Only several details are known about this watch in that it was made to be a wristwatch for the lady, it was made in solid gold, and it was oblong/oval in shape.  Today Breguet has revived this masterpiece with only these few known facts and recreated the Reine de Naples Ladies Haute Horologie timepieces.  This particular example 8968BR is the larger oversized example in the Reine de Naples collection, with diamonds adorning the bottom strap attachment as well as a large diamond adorning the crown.  It is the modern, more trendy take on this masterpiece design appropriately sized for today’s taste of active lifestyle.  The radiant silver dial is an absolute gem with its various layerings and finishes yet maintaining that classism with the Breguet script text.  Technically it is also excellent with an in-house manufacturer automatic movement caliber 591C with 25 jewels and comes with 22K engine-turned rotor.  The oversized oblong/oval case measures 35x43mm compared to the more classically sized at 28.5×36.5mm.  It is an ultra luxury product based on rich heritage of this wonderful brand, truly unique and incomparable in today’s over-abundance of high-end wristwatches.  Manufacture Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) $38,900.

CONDITION REPORT: Condition-wise the watch is functioning normally where it runs, winds, and keeps time well.  However, since we’ve not serviced it during our ownership we do not provide guarantee to its function and longevity.  Cosmetically the timepiece is in very good overall shape with very minimal faint surface scratches which shows the previous owner really took great care of it.  The front sapphire crystal has some scratches and small chips towards the bottom edge slightly to the right of the 6 o’clock marker.  This is almost unnoticeable when viewed with naked eye which do not distract against the beauty of the watch at all.  The Breguet black alligator strap is in pre-owned condition with some discolorations to the back side and it still has wear life remaining.  No box or paperwork, guaranteed 100% authentic.  Dimensions are 35x43mm.
