REMARKS: Vintage Wristwatch made by Agassiz for Tiffany & Co Circa 1930s. This watch comes with rare features such as 14K solid screwback case with Agassiz Hallmarks and 100% original Gilt Black Dial with Applied Gold Stick Markers. Even the movement is a rare one by Agassiz with gold-tone screws adjusted to 2 positions. In terms of 1930s wristwatches it’s not often to find solid gold cases with screwback and also having such a high grade movement inside. This watch must’ve been very expensive when it was sold and in the price category of watches such as Patek Philippe. Its Gilt Black Dial is simply a marvel after near a Century it’s still close to mint condition with the hermetically sealed case contributing to its great shape.
CONDITION REPORT: Condition-wise the watch winds, sets and runs. We will not guarantee timekeeping accuracy or longevity as we didn’t get the watch serviced. It’s a vintage watch so please assume it’s NOT WATER RESISTANT. It is under the sole discretion of the end-user in regards to service or maintenance. Cosmetically it’s in great shape for a near 100 year old watch showing that it has always been treated with care by past owners. The 100% original Tiffany & Co. Black Gilt Dial is in near mint shape with no tarnish. The applied markers and gold hands have sporadic discoloration that is hard to see. Applied stick hour marker at 5 o’clock has been shifted slightly towards the center of the dial. The 14K solid gold case has been polished in the past and overall it’s still in very good condition with no major dings or dents (only small dings here and there) and the screwback threading is still clearly visible. An Italian black alligator strap has been paired with this watch (gold plated generic buckle). There are some minor scratches on the plastic crystal. No box or paperwork included, guaranteed 100% authentic. Diameter is 33mm.
