REMARKS: Ultra-rare Edouard Vielle 18K Solid Gold Quarter Jump Start & Stop Function Pocket Watch with Tandem Winding. This pocket watch is also massive in size at 55mm and total weight is 152.5g. It is ultra-rare to find the combination of Start & Stop Function, Quarter Seconds Jump Display, and Tandem Wind all incorporated in a single watch. And the movement for this watch has been finished to top quality with solid rose gold train wheels and the finest finish throughout. Eduord Vielle was a watchmaker from Swiss Valley town of Chaux-de-Fonds known for executing complicated watches of the best quality. This watch was made in the 1860-1870s and it is in superb shape.
CONDITION REPORT: Condition-wise all of the functions work and run. We have not serviced the watch. Therefore, for a watch that is over 150 years in age we do not make any guarantee to its function or timekeeping. We recommend for all antique watches to be serviced before usage at the owner’s discretion. Cosmetically for its age the watch is in superb shape with most of the engine turning engraving on its case intact and there is no hairline or chip on the dial.
